Pubs can often be the subject of media comment and opinion, be it positive or negative. The LVA is here to work with the media to amplify Dublin publicans’ views on various issues and to give our perspective on industry issues affecting the trade with traditional print and broadcast media.
For example in late 2016 via a concentrated media and government targeted campaign the LVA successfully persuaded the government to add public liability insurance to the agenda of the Joint Committee investigating the high cost of insurance. The LVA also engage with the media to promote the various bicentenary celebration initiatives.
The LVA also use social media to bolster our message and to connect with members of the press. We run active, vibrant channels that are informative and give us extended reach to lobby on the issues that are important to LVA members.
