We set out below our overall approach to Data Security and the general nature of the steps that we have taken.  We represent the Licensed Vintners Association – a representative body for publicans of Dublin.

This notice sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.  Please read the following carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

For the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulation (the GDPR) (the Acts) the data controller is The Licensed Vintners Association.

ARTICLE 32 (i) of the general data protection regulation :

·     Places an obligation  on a data controller to “implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk”

·     The controller is to take into account:

-the state of the art

-the costs if implementation and the nature, scope context and purposes of processing.

In regards to the security of personal data the LVA has put in place a number of appropriate safeguards.
